EIHF Isofroid, experts in thanatopraxy equipment and products since 1972

EIHF Isofroid has been designing, manufacturing and marketing thanatopraxy equipment, products and consumables for over 50 years. Our compass: innovation, quality and customer safety. Our history began in 1972, in Béthune in northern France, with the formulation of our first fluids and the development of equipment for treatment rooms (refrigeration tables and cells).

Increased expertise for thanatopraxy professionals

In 1998, we integrated the famous Paul CLERC products, including BALSAMOSEPTOL fluid, a benchmark among thanatopractors. This step marks our commitment to offering highly effective conservation products that respect good professional practice, without ever competing with our customers, but rather supporting them.

Thanks to this constant focus on quality and innovation, EIHF Isofroid's influence extends beyond France, with a strong presence in more than 60 countries, from Western to Eastern Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

Innovation at the heart of our DNA

Innovation is at the heart of our approach. In 2019, we are launching a formalin-free preservation fluid, exclusive to EIHF Isofroid, approved by the French Ministry of Health and now used by many independent thanatopractors and funeral parlour networks across France.

In 2020, we will be developing treatment tables that capture noxious vapours directly at source, enhancing the safety of professionals during post-mortem treatment. In 2021, we innovate again by equipping all our forklift trucks with electric assistance, making it easier to handle heavy loads in the treatment room or mortuary.

Since 2024, EIHF Isofroid has been part of the Seiven group, a global player offering a complete solution from body conservation to the delivery of funeral monuments. This integration strengthens our ability to meet all the needs of funeral professionals with an extensive range of products and equipment.
